Description


   

The session will provide an introduction to Business Architecture & Capabilities-based planning and discuss the impacts on, and touch points with, the BA discipline.  The session will include a review of an Integrated Planning & Requirements Life-cycle Model for connecting the Business Model Canvas, Business Architecture, and Agile/SAFe approaches.  A sample Planning Concepts Model will also be discussed, followed by a review of the roles, skills & responsibilities for supporting a Capabilities-based Planning approach.

About the Speaker

 

Mike Callahan

Mike is a recognized subject matter expert in the Business Architecture field and co-founder of AgileLayer, a provider of Business Architecture methodologies, software and consulting services.  Mike has worked with dozens of US corporations in transitioning them to capabilities-based planning and business architecture approaches.  He has authored and co-authored a number of industry-first business architecture-related methods and tools over the past 12 years – including life-cycle governance & maturity models, digital capability reference models, and capabilities-based modeling, assessment & road mapping methods.  Mike is based in Boston MA, and holds a BS Computer Science degree from the Boston College.
