Design Special Interest Group (SIG)

Overview

The IIBA NJ Design SIG aims to create a forum that engages Business members toward discussing design topics related to, but not restricted to the following areas of interest:

  • Data Visualization
  • User Experience (UX) and (UI) Visual Design
  • Product Management

Objectives & Goals

  • Learn about Design from a historical perspective
  • Learn about current and future trends in Design
  • Identify and assess customer opportunities.
  • Characterize Design as being essentially collaborative in natureunderstanding the true evolutionary nature of design
  • Clearly identify and understand Design inhibitors and activators
  • Host an incubator for generating forward looking, topical Design ideas
  • Blend the perspectives of marketing, Design and engineering into a systematic approach to delivering innovation through products and services.

Notes:

This SIG purports to be a community whereby those with expertise in design, psychology, engineering, architecture, human factors, technology development, HCI, telecom, finance, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and other disciplines can come together to nourish the interdisciplinary of the domain. The remit of SIG is wide-ranging; including the design of experiences, interactions, technologies, products, environments, services and systems;
